Quill Body PMD(Pale Morning Dun) Soft Hackle Emerger
Some of our favorites times fly fishing during the summer is during the PMD hatches. Finding rising fish to smaller dries and soft hackles can be an absolute blast, and truly energize ones soul. With that one of our favorite set ups is trailing this emerging soft hackle behind a parachute PMD dry fly pattern. This pattern is sure to catch the pickiest of fishes attention and bring them to net. We love swinging this tandem through riffles and catching the unsuspecting fish waiting for their next meal. Often times the fish take this soft hackle over the actual dry fly. No fly box is complete and ready for summers great adventures without a few of these in differing sizes tied and ready in the box. We call this a guide fly because it is deadly effective in bringing fish to net, extremely durable, and super fast to tie. These are all important features for guides to have in their box for a multitude of reasons.
