The Pro Performance single hand line design is smooth, powerful, and has consistent layout/roll-out performance. This is achieved through exacting proportions of front, belly and rear tapers. The head section is 58 feet long and provides powerful roll-out, great accuracy, excellent mend-ability and outstanding long distance characteristics. All of these features were blended together to establish the optimal flight characteristics which is a trademark of all Ballistic fly lines. Overall line length is 95 feet. The Pro Performance line was designed to meet all of the rigors of the IFFF CI and MCI test!

Poor Service

After 21 days I hadn’t received the goods. Contacted Leyland who said that line wasn’t in stock so Ballistic were meant to deliver. When purchased there was no indication that the fly line wasn’t in stock, else I would have purchased elsewhere. No follow up from Leland so it fell through the cracks! Don’t assume it’s in stock!

This line is a great all around line but an absolute must if you are pursuing your CI certification!

Super nice flyline.

This is my second purchase of Ballistic flyline. I am practicing for FFI CI so the orange color visibility works great. Whether distance casting or short accuracy casts, the balanced tapered head delivers for whatever the situation.

Leland is fantastic company with excellent communication.

easy to casting

The long belly makes it easy to load the rod and stabilise the loop. The bright orange colour is not really suitable for actual fishing, but it is good for casting practice as it is easy to check the line track. The only drawback is that once out of stock, it takes time to restock.

Excellent Line

Probably one of the best lines I've had in 25 years. Ballistic makes a line I believe is superior to the more expensive brands. I would argue that Ballistic is superior to Rio and others. It's just more affordable because they don't have massive overhead for marketing, and corporate overhead. Also, made in the USA which is rare for fishing tackle these day.
