An exclusive lodge on the West Side of Andros Island
Nestled in a private cove on the West Side of Andros Island is a four-star private retreat that offers some of the best bonefishing and waterfowl hunting on the planet. Flamingo Cay was established in the 1920’s as a private hunting camp and was host to kings and celebrities. It has been in the Bethel Family since that time and recently was restored by Charles Bethel III, the grandson of the original owner. This is not your typical Bahamian bonefish lodge. Foremost, it’s the only lodge on the West Side of Andros Island. Giving it access to miles and miles of flats, which have seldom been fished. There are no roads on this part of the island – the only access is by seaplane from Nassau. This is a Bahamas wilderness experience that must be experienced. Full amenities are part of the package and include beautiful lodging with A/C, four-star cuisine, the latest up-to-date Maverick and Hell’s Bay flats boats, and an airboat for special hunting and fishing areas. In addition to the schools of big bones that roam these pristine, white sand flats, tarpon are sometimes found along the shoreline and there is an off shore fishery for tuna, wahoo, and other blue water species.
