After a breakfast of Heuvos Rancheros and a quick 10-minute boat run you step into the warm bonefish-laden water. After a half a day of wade fishing for smaller schoolie bones you are off in search of the legendary big singles. The next day you find out the tarpon are in, so it’s a day of worn out muscles and monster fish. Oh, on the way back maybe we should look for some permit: And this is only Day Two! Now you understand why we suggest bringing as much equipment as possible. We have truly tried to keep the list simple but highly effective. It may seem a bit overwhelming but then again so is the fishing in Ascension Bay. This is the one place where the gear hound is welcome with open arms.
